KASTE Bag - Beige Shoulder bag with seatbelt

KASTE is a beige shoulder bag that combines a clean shape with a light, timeless tone. The shiny belt surface adds a subtle vibrancy to the surface, while the beige colour makes the bag light and easy to mix and match.

This beige bag works for everyday, workday and more formal wear - the tone is calm but not overpowering. Its compact size and clean design make it a versatile crossbody bag that goes with you from occasion to occasion.

The seatbelt strap has been given a new life as a bag, and the durability of the material makes KASTE a trusted choice for everyday use. Inside, there's a lining and a zipped pocket to keep your essentials organised. An adjustable and detachable strap allows for use on the shoulder or carried over the body.

The KASTE is one of the best rated bags in our collection, and the beige version has also received praise from our customers.

Features:

- Seatbelt surface: a durable and glossy surface made from a second quality seatbelt that gives the bag a recognizable look.
- Adjustable and interchangeable strap: wear as a shoulder bag or crossbody bag over the body - the look can be customized with separate straps.
- Zippered interior pocket: keep your phone, keys and other small items easily accessible.

KASTE in beige is the bag of choice when you want a bag that's easy to mix and match with different outfits and will stand up to use year after year.

What does the KASTE bag hold?

The KASTE bag can hold, for example, a notebook slightly smaller than A5 or a half-litre water bottle and everyday essentials. The inside pocket holds most phones.

Product details

Size: Width 23 m, height 15 cm, depth 5 cm. Our seamstresses work exactly according to the measurements given, but small individual differences may occur between products.

Inside pocket: 20 x 11 cm.

Strap: Seat belt 71-136 cm + metal parts (approx. 10 cm). Belt width 4,8 cm.

Colour: Beige. Due to the recycled materials used to make the bag, each bag is unique (there may be slight variations in the surface pattern of the leather and the red pattern of the seat belt).

Materials & production

Country of production: Finland. Beige KASTE bags are hand-sewn by Katri in Tampere.

Material from: Sorted and cleaned in Finland. The materials of this bag are surplus leather, and second quality safety straps. The lining of the bag is a surplus blended fabric. New parts are the metal zipper and other metal parts.

Designer: Miisa Asikainen

Surplus leather

Leather is the production of surplus cowhide. The surface treatment is part of the original finish of the leather, not made by Globe Hope, and makes each product a little unique.

Second quality safety belt

The seat belt is a second-rate production of a British seat belt manufacturer. For one reason or another, the belts have not met the criteria for use as seat belts - for example, there may have been a slight discrepancy in the tie. The material has been supplied to us in this colour and the shade has not been subsequently modified. The manufacturer's wide range of products for different applications, such as vehicles, aircraft and amusement park equipment, is sometimes reflected in surprisingly bold colours.

Care instructions

As the KASTE bag contains leather parts, please follow the care instructions for the leather product:

Treat the leather parts of your new bag with a moisture-protecting spray. This protects the bag from moisture or dirt. Take care of your bag regularly with moisturising conditioner.

Handle the bag with clean hands to avoid grease spills. However, if stains do appear, remove them as soon as possible with a cotton cloth.. Avoid excessive water, but use a soap suitable for leather, such as ecological soap. Marseille-soap.

If your bag gets wet, let it dry in peace and quiet, out of direct sunlight. Once dry, you can treat the leather with a moisturising conditioner. Never scrub a wet bag, as rubbing may damage the surface of the leather.

Individual stains on a seat belt can be removed by brushing or using a damp cloth, for example with bile soap.
